How to choose a good web host
Article by D NF
Maybe it's your first time putting up a website and you're looking for a cheap, reliable server. Or, perhaps you're looking to upgrade. Our guide will help you with what you need to consider when choosing a web host.
Web Space: See how much you really need. A small website can probably make due with 1 Gigabyte (500 MB). Larger websites with photos and video can be quite larger. But there is no need to pay for extra space if you don’t need it.
Bandwidth: This is how much data the server allots you and your websurfers to upload and download each month.
CGI Access: Having the ability to run CGI and Perl scripts is important if you intend to have a blog, a message board, etc. Some webservers such as Pregomondo include a program called Fantastico that includes many useful scripts and assists in the installation.
We always recommend as a web host, our own host who is reliable and we’ve used for years: Pregomondo.com.
…more to come.
